Bringing It Back

It's never good to be back here, at least in my case as it could also mean I have no one to talk to. Anyhow, its been more than 3 months since I last posted anything here so I guess its about time something of sort got posted up. Anyway, just a short update on what's been going on.

But before I start, let's just say its almost coming up to the end of January already but nevertheless, its a new start to the new year with new aims and dreams or resolutions if you should put it. Its probably not gonna be so much of a fun vacations or such being planned out but basically its about the life and direction that I should or could be thinking about in the near future.

... afraid that I won't meet my own expectations?

It's still pretty much the same me here, with the exception of more problems maybe? Well, one things for sure is that I'm still pretty much struggling with conjuring any sort of confidence out of myself. Managing it definitely isn't easy and it does affect me in every single part of my life right now to be honest. If you haven't notice, emotions does play a huge part in ones actions. But you know its not all doom and gloomy as I have actually signed up for Thai Kickboxing lessons just to build some confidence and also learning to be optimistic.

Relationship tends to get itself in the equation normally. There's always this common question being toss around in daily conversations like "who's the one", "where's your gf", "when you getting one" etc which you really can't avoid but give a smile or any crap before you go ahead and change the topic. I haven't been good at it to be honest. Confidence does play its part in this as well, being as low as it is, it's actually kinda difficult. There's just so many problems and bad experience that has somehow has affected me in a really bad way I guess. So for now, I have been trying to filter it out and just focus my energy on my career and also improving myself.

Driving myself higher with failures and the hunger to be better than others...

Which also leads me to be thinking about moving on. Moving to a new place, new surroundings and a new environment. I'm actually thinking about moving down south to find greener pastures with a prospect of better financial returns. This would probably be a significant change in my life and it could probably come after March when I finish my programme at my current work place but still there's time to evaluate and think about it.

Lastly, I'll just end this post with some of my wish list and resolutions for the year:

1) get a job in Singapore
2) get a lasik for my eyes
3) to have more self improvement and optimism
4) increase confidence
5) build body mass and muscles
6) safe enough for investment in property (later in the year or next year?)

Kris Allen - The Truth

A nothing post. Just a great song.

Lyin' next to you
Wishing I could disappear...aay
Let you fall asleep
And vanish out into thin air..aay

It's the elephant in the room
And we pretend that we don't see it.
It's the avalanche that looms above our heads.
And we don't believe it.

Tryin' to be perfect
Tryin' not to let you down...ooww
Honesty is honestly the hardest thing for me right now...yeah
while the floors underneath our feet are crumbling
The walls we built together tumblin'
I still stand here holdin' up the roof
Cause it's easier than telling the truth.

I still keep your photographs
I remember how we used to laugh
I can keep on losin' sleep
If you're okay with being torn in half.

It's the elephant in the room
And we pretend that we don't see it.
It's an avalanche that looms above our heads
But we don't believe it.

Tryin' to be perfect, tryin' not to let you down...oww
Honesty is honestly the hardest thing for me right now...yeah
While the floors underneath our feet are crumblin'
The walls we built together tumblin'
I still stand here holdin' up the roof
Cause it's easier than telling the truth.

Stop ignoring that our hearts are mourning
http://www.elyricsworld.com/the_truth_lyrics_kris_allen.html
And let the rain come in.
Stop pretending that it's not ending
And let the end begin.

Oh yeah...

Tryin' to be perfect, tryin' not to let you down...yeah
Honesty is honestly the hardest thing for me right now...yeah
While the floors underneath our feet are crumblin'
The walls we built together tumblin'
I still stand here holdin' up the roof
Cause it's easier than telling the truth.

It's easier than telling the truth...

Ne-Yo - Part Of The List

It was actually Lizzie who introduced this song to me. First of all thanks a lot cuz its a great song, but I kinda preferred Ne-Yo's original over the HAWT Marie Digby's version here.

There's something about the beginning of this video that reminds me...

Something always brings me back to you

Had an awesome week which I'm gonna be telling about in my later post. From there, my mood just went downhill as the day goes by. Not to say I'm unhappy or anything but its been normal and okay up till yesterday when I started listening to some new emo songs which you know, just makes you feel sad as well. I actually started listening to Lady Antebellum's Need You Now after heard it while watching American Idol (I don't usually follow but cuz my mom was watching so yea...). Since then the song has been playing on repeat which really makes me emo as well.

But that's not my favorite song now. It has actually been taken over by Sara Bareilles' Gravity which is a really really great song. (really emo) How such a simple lyrics can really mean so much. I actually heard it during one of So You Think You Can Dance performances and after listening to it again while playing pool (yea, it was playing at a pool center, freaking emo!!!), its a really really nice song.

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do I'll still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.

You hold me without touch.

You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your rain.

[CHORUS:]

Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.

When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while and all my fragile strength is gone.

[CHORUS]

I live here on my knees as I try to make you see that you're everything I think I need here on the ground.

But you're neither friend nor foe though I can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down
You're on to me, on to me, and all over...
Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.

P!NK - Glitter in the Air

Here's one of the my favorite new songs by Pink. Not only that, here is what most believed to be her amazing and most breathtaking performance at the 2010 Grammys. Watch for yourself... :)

Have you ever fed a lover with just your hands?
Close your eyes and trust it, just trust it
Have you ever thrown a fist full of glitter in the air?
Have you ever looked fear in the face
And said I just don't care

It's only half past the point of no return
The tip of the ice burg
The sun before the burn
The thunder before lightning
The breathe before the fraze
Have you ever felt this way?

Have you ever hated yourself for staring at the phone?
You're whole life waiting on the ring to prove you're not alone
Have you ever been touch so gently you had to cry?
Have you ever invited a stranger to come inside?

It's only half past the point of oblivion
The hourglass on the table
The walk before the run
The breathe before the kiss
And the fear before the flames
Have you ever felt this way?

La La La La La La La La

There you are, sitting in the garden
Clutching my coffee,
Calling me sugar
You called me sugar

Have you ever wished for an endless night?
Lassoed the moon and the stars and pulled that rope tight
Have you ever held your breathe and asked yourself will it ever get better than tonight?
Tonight

No More Wishing

I've finally caught up with watching the new season 5 of How I Met Your Mother (MIMYM). However, I've only like downloaded half of it so I'm pretty much stuck at half way of the season. Gotta get my uTorrent all busy and having a slow internet connection for the rest of the week.

Anyhow, I still can't get enough of it so I'm pretty much re-watching the previous seasons now. One particular episode from season 4 had this song at the end of it which was pretty nice so I just decided to post it up here.

wake up, I'm trying to show you
I wanna come clean
you mean more than you should mean
but I'm willing to be

the one that you put on a pedestal
the one that you see in your dreams
the one that you hide your true self from
the one you want to please

and I know that it's wrong to want something
so false and so fake
it's not that I want to fix you
I just want to get my way

cause you're the one that I put on a pedestal
the one who keeps coming back to me
the one that I gave my whole heart to
the one who makes me believe

I want a love that's side by side
I want a love that holds me tight
I want a love that feels like a dream
but when I wake up, he's still there with me

so put me up on a pedestal
give me everything I need
but give it to me so completely
that there will be no more wishing
no more wishing
no more wishing
no more wishing

Songs of the Week

Here are some of the songs I'm addicted to now... It's songs of different flavour actually. There are english and korean songs with different genre and also some are old and some are new so hope you'd enjoy...

This first song is from Mat Kearney titled "Closer to Love". A very nice love song that I've only discovered from watching my cousin's wedding highlight video. Currently my favourite of favourites...

Here now is another love song but this time its from Korea. This is 8eight with "Goodbye My Love". Of course, by the title itself, you could probably have guessed its a sad love song. The video itself has some sad and touching plot to it so there you go...

Now for the heartbreaking song. This is Outsider with "Loner". A very nice song with deep lyrics and great tune. I would definitely like you to check this dude out because his rapping is sick! Just go see how fast this dude raps...

Okay now, for the more upbeat song, here's Brown Eyed Girls with "Abracadabra". Kinda found this song while looking through random people's blog and find it quite nice. Love the beats very much, and hey! There's hot chicks in it!

Finally, here's James Morrison with "You Give Me Something". A very beautiful song. It's also an old song but hey, classic is gold!!!

Big Bang - Garu Garu Go

One of the best male groups from Korea is back and their back with BANG!!! Garu Garu Go, their latest single and also one of those songs which again, makes you want to get out and dance.

I'm desperately trying to get a hold of its mp3 but just can't seem to find it anywhere. I've only manage to get the video from Youtube and no doubt its gonna be played for the whole week on my PC :)

Sweet Dreams...

Have you ever wondered why or when do we dream while we sleep? Does our dreams pan out from our personal experiences, through our minds and thoughts or is god actually trying to tell us something through our subconcious mind?

For me, a dream is like being in a different world. A world with a story to tell where you find yourself as the main character of the story. But of all things, you find yourself not being able to control most part of it. You just couldn't control your actions, your thoughts and the only thing you could do is follow the flow of the story. It's like everything you do is written in a script beforehand.

As far as the story goes, all kinds of emotions could be felt which really makes you feel as if its really happening to you. Of course, there are the happy, sad or even horrified moments in one's dreams but sometimes these things just makes you want to stay there forever.

It actually happened to me just yesterday where I had this dream or a story pretty similar to the one I had a couple of months ago.

It just makes me wonder, why did the dream came up again all of a sudden? Is god trying to tell me something or is it because I really missed her that much?

I wonder...

Anyway, here's another nice song. A song from John Mayer for those who are waiting for the right person to come along into their lives...

Jason Mraz - If It Kills Me

Well all I really wanna do is love you
A kind much closer than friends use
But I still can't say it after all we've been through
And all I really want from you is to feel me
As the feeling inside keeps building
And I will find a way to you if it kills me
If it kills me
