Mind popping

So tomorrow is the big day for me with the exam. Really stressed out now, its like my head is being squeezed so hard that it wants to pop. Don't really know what to write out now cuz I'm just really really stressed. Besides, I have been trying to relax a bit by listening to my new addictive song Wedding Dress by TaeYang. Stupidly, because it was an emo or sad song which you can watch from my previous post, so it just made me felt worst. Anyway, I'm gonna continue reading my notes before I head to bed.

G-Dragon & TaeYang

Just few days ago I came across this song by Big Bang's duo of G-Dragon and Tae Yang performing in the Mnet Korean Music Awards on Channel V. Definitely a very nice song with great feel and tempo to it. Also, do check out Tae Yang's latest Where U At and Wedding Dress.

Almost end of November

Just a simple update here on what's going on now. So right, really really busy month trying to get a job so haven't done much posting lately as well. Actually, getting a job for me now is like really urgent as in do-or-die for me because you probably know I have been slacking for a very long time now so its really time to really get started. So one of my goal set for this month was to get a job and now its already almost end of the month. However, I've been attached to a UK company named Marcus Evans right now, going through trainings and hopefully, I will be able to pass me exams and get the job by December.

Been through a hell of interviews as well getting this far now. First, there was the phone screening interview where I was caught off guard (me sleeping), then 1st interview and 2nd interview before these trainings and exams which I have to pass later on. Its actually a sales telemarketing job, one which I never expected to be in because SERIOUSLY, if you know me well, you would know I'm not a very vocal person and neither am I a good communicator. However, this job is really interesting (more on this next time) and it really is a challenge for me to improve myself, learn, develop and train to be a better person. BUT then again, jobs not confirmed yet, so that's just what I'm thinking right now.

And also, because its basically a sales job. So if your good, you tend to earn a lot on your commissions so I'm really motivated by the amount I could earn so with that maybe I could use it to later start a business of my own? who knows? That's what I'm actually planning now... But again, just dreams. Still a long long way to go till I reach this spot I'm dreaming of. Then again, I will try my best to acheive whatever I can.

"TIME is your life. When its gone, ITS GONE!"

Above is actually quoted by my trainer who was the Sales Director in Marcus Evans. It really slapped me across the face and made me realize something. Honestly, I kinda feel like I wasted sooooooooo much time. Gonna be 22 next year and still haven't even earn my first 1000 bucks which is really really bad. I always wanted to start out early, be succesful at a young age, earn big bucks, drive big car, get recognition and stuff like that but 22 already, damn...

what have I been doing...

Gonna push hard now...

Girls Soccer Like You've Never Seen Before

... well, at least its a first for me.

WARNING!!!

VIEWER'S DISCRETION ADVISED.
CONTENT MAY NOT BE APPROPRIATE FOR VIEWERS!!!

the convict

So here's Elizabeth Lambert, a defender on the University of New Mexico Woman's Soccer Team. She caused quite a stir recently in her soccer match with team BYU in the NCAA Women's Soccer Western Conference semifinal match where she brutally assaulted the opposing players in every possible way - taking a girl down by the ponytail, numerous punches to a girls head, illegally tackling, and kicking a ball into a girls face after she had fallen to mention a few.

we didn't think woman would fight. But boy we were wrong now weren't we?

What makes it even more amazing was that no one (coaches, teammates, opposition) stopped her after all her actions, more specifically, the referee of the match. I would think that she would have received a straight red card for putting her hands up to an opponent or two yellows which would mean a red as well but NO, she ended the game with only a yellow card.

However, actions have now been taken and she is now suspended. The following is a video of the action and also her apology to everyone.

So... Competitive soccer or just going out for blood?

Perodua D46T MPV... the Alza?

The Perodua MPV, codenamed D46T will be finally launched sometime this month. This MPV is based on the Toyota Passo Sette and Daihatsu Boom Luminas with minor cosmetic changes and probably differences in quality and specifications as well. If you're wondering what does it look like, then you've come to the perfect place. Here are some spyshots or leaked picture taken of the new MPV.

front view

back view

It does look like a Myvi doesn't it? The most obvious difference between this and the Myvi from the outlooks is most definitely the longer butt. And while looking at the rear of the car, I also can't help but notice that the rear bumper has some Viva-ish and Myvi-ish combo look to it. But I'd prefer the overall look of this car over the Myvi because it looks rather more aggressive.

steering wheel

dashboard and center console

Hmm... I will say that the center console is rather nice given the modern look and the dashboard-mounted gear shifter. Credits to Toyota and Daihatsu for that! BUT... I heard there won't be any second row air-cond and considering the fact that we're living in such a hot climate, this could well be a problem for customers to think about.

alloy wheels

under the hood

Rumours are that this compact MPV will be named the Perodua Alza. The launch of this model is expected to be at 23rd November and bookings will be available on the 13th November Nationwide.

And finally, a piece of advice now is that you shouldn't be buying a Toyota Avanza anymore because with the launch of this model, which is pretty much the same size as the Avanza and probably cheaper, it would mean that the demand of Avanzas will surely fall and the 2nd hand value of it will also plumet heavily. As for new Avanzas owners out there, I'm so sorry but you'll just have to put up with the pain of driving an old, outdated car instead of having the the excitement of owning a brand new modern car at almost the same price.

And that brings me to this thing that I have to mention. Please note that Perodua is actually under UMW which is also the parent company for Toyota in Malaysia. So the thing is that because both brands are trying to capture markets here, I don't know whether they are suppose to compete with each other but with the cars introduced, it seems like they are conflicting one another. One example would be this new Perodua MPV and the Avanza as both, I presume, are having the same target market. Now, would you buy a new outdated Avanza knowing that you could have a new Alza?

Besides, there is also the case of Perodua Nautica (or notty car?) and the Toyota Rush. As you can see above, both are pretty similar and difference is that the Nautica is a 4WD and the Rush a 2WD but I mean who cares?! I don't think that influences the buyer decision in any way. Pricing wise, the Perodua is at RM90,000 OTR while the Toyota is more or less the same. So the question now is, which would you rather buy? If you ask me, I would most definitely take the Toyota. Why? Brand ma! That's what most people here in Malaysia would say as well. And why would you even pay such an amount for a local brand?! Lucky our consumers here are smart as well because after its launch about 1 and a half year ago, I hardly see any Perodua Nautica on the roads as well. So is that bad marketing and management from Perodua? I would definitely say YES.

Norvambar!!!

Ahh... how time have flied, its already November. Well, I would say that November is my favourite month and how it is also turning out to be a good one by the looks of it so far. I do have a few goals set this month and it looks like I'm currently right on track with it, BUT... I'm not gonna reveal anything here first until it is achieved :P

Also this month, Liz came down all the way from Sabah!!! Although I only had little time to catch up with her, I'm still very happy to be able to see her after such a long time.

Miss ya Liz! and good thing you gained weight! :P

Besides, there were also friends who celebrated birthday this week. A very happy birthday to Keng Shen who has just gotten a new hair cut and looks damn yeng now. So I'll hope you'll get more leng lui to be by your side? hehe... Also a very happy birthday to Nicole whom I'm so so sorry cuz did not have chance to celebrate with but will try to make it up some time later. Wish you'll have an awesome birthday and may you look younger and prettier as the year passes :)

and not to forget... GO NOVEMBER BABIES!!! :D

Finally, I've been offered a days job experience tomorrow to see if I am suitable for the job position which I applied so it's gonna be really exciting to see if I will finally be able to get a job after such a long time. Just to put it short, I'm just really looking forward to what's ahead for the rest of the month :)

and that's is my update... I'm soooo tired and sleepy now... my eyes are literally crying in pain now so good night people!

The thing that we so often spend most of our time on while we are at home

Now, here's my RM1300 big, fat, heavy ASUS 8800GTS GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) or graphics card. It has been sent for warranty for the past month and now its finally back :)

I gotta say I'm really lucky because I paid extra and extended the warranty period to 3 years instead of 2 or not I will have to pay a large sum to repair or even get a new one.

Well, it is very common for a GPU to break down after 2-3 years of usage and rightfully mine did as expected. I don't really know what went wrong even after the technician explained to me so I'll just put it down as "overheating". lol

Here's one thing, my brother has one too and it spoiled as well. But instead of getting a same replacement, he got a smaller, slimmer and better 9800GTS (one generation ahead of mine) as replacement from the ATOM shop he bought it from. (Mine from C-Zone) Damn, I wished I had bought from those ATOM guys as well. Anyway, I'll finally leave you with what's on my PC now...

Intel Core 2 Duo 6400 2.13GHz processor
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit operating system
ASUS 320MB 8800GTS graphics unit
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound unit
Edifier S530D 2.1 Hi-fi speakers
Samsung 17" SyncMaster 740BF monitor
Corsair 4 GB RAM
Western Digital 750GB internal harddisk
Western Digital 250GB external harddisk
Logitech gaming mouse and keyboard
Logitech wireless gaming joystick

Oh and... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Myvi Exclusive or just another "I hope this improves sales" Edition?

Alright Myvi or "Meeve" fans, here's another NEW toad-looking addition to the already large Perodua's Myvi line-up which includes Myvi original, Myvi SE original, Myvi facelifted and Myvi SE facelifted. (added the old original ones cuz there are still second hand options)

With the impending launch of their first compact MPV in November, Perodua has decided to roll out yet another Myvi called the Myvi EXCLUSIVE Edition! Now, with such a mind boggling name, I just can't help but wonder whats so exclusive about this new Myvi, so lets check out what does Perodua has installed for us here.

If your looking at the picture above and wondering if I'd mistakenly post the normal variant, the answer is NO, I DID NOT! IT IS the Exclusive Edition! The difference is, it has 14 inch alloy wheels similar to Myvi SE, side skirt (no front or back) and chrome door handles on the outside. Noticed it yet? Yeah, it took me awhile too.

On the inside, the chrome treatment continues on the inner door handles. The seats, door trims and steering wheel are wrapped with leather which is also bit similar to Myvi SE. The audio system is a 2-DIN system which supports CD, MP3 and bla bla bla... Its similar to Myvi SE as well so you'll get the dig.

And under the hood, you'll still get the similar 1.3 liter DVVT engine like the rest of the Myvi variants and that's about all that you get for this new Myvi EE at a price of RM51,000. By the way, this car is so exclusive that they are only producing 5000 units of it so better not wait or you'll miss out on this "rare" car on the road.

But seriously, this is just another lazy job and probably lousy job as well from Perodua in trying to grab more customers. I mean, just look at the car, its just a non-SE Myvi fitted with Myvi SE stuff, that's all there is to it. And then there is the name as well, EXCLUSIVE?! Seriously? give me a break Perodua, I bet people couldn't even tell if its Exclusive or not when they see it on the roads. And sadly enough, there wasn't any performance tweak to the car as well so it just remains the same as the normal Myvi and the Myvi SE.

Last of all , my verdict on this car is that it is just another Myvi on the road. If you're looking to be "special", your better off taking your Myvi to mod rather than getting this. I would say it is still buy-able however, one things for sure, you'll be riding in a so-called exclusive car but you ain't gonna be feeling any special from all the other normal Myvi owners out there.

Another hell long of a day

Yet another long long Friday for me I would say. Well, the day started off with me waking up unusually early around 6.30am to prepare myself for a job interview. The interview was actually at 10.30am but because I was being cautious over traffic jams, I allocated roughly 1 and a half hour for the travel time. But, I reached my destination at approximately 8.45am with around 1 and a half hour still to spare so it was rather boring just hanging out around the coffee shop for breakfast. And not to mention I only had like 5 hours of sleep prior to this so I was yawning all the while which also led me to have a 30 minutes nap in the car :)

me yawning away... lol

Regarding the job, it was a job vacancy as a marketing executive in Naza Bikers. Yea, bikers as in motorbikes or SUPERBIKES!!! It wasn't really the division I applied for but since I'm actually really interested and hoping to work in the automotive industry in the future, so this really is a good opportunity for me to start so I'm really hoping it goes well.

To be honest, this jobless streak of mine is REALLY killing me. I'm having real stressful days worrying about getting a job. Without a job, it seems like I'm also unable to get my life going as in there are many things which I don't think I can or should do without a proper income.

yes? watcha lookin' at?

So anyway, after that, I met up with my friend for a game of pool just outside UCSI. Here's the thing, it's been a VERY VERY long time since I last played pool and I'm kinda desperate for a game now. Also, after that when we went to Mid Valley, I had no objections when my friend AGAIN asked to play pool!!! So this'll last me about a week or two before I start asking people out for a game again. :)

So with all these being done, it was already 6pm when I reached home. Yet, the day wasn't gonna end as it is. Instead, we planned to catch a 11.30pm movie, so we went back to Mid Valley AGAIN!!!

"Surrogates" was the title of the movie that we watched. The movie is set in a futuristic world where vast advancement in robotics resulted in humans living in isolation and interaction are only done through surrogate robots.

As you can see from the picture, Bruce Willis, who's into his mid-fifties is the lead actor here. Well, just like someone commented on IMDB.com, "Bruce Willis makes it watchable", I would say it wasn't a bad movie but it wasn't a very good movie as well. However, what interest me wasn't really the plot of the movie but more on the creative idea and great vision in creating this movie.

Let's think for a second. What if we were given the privilege to have surrogate robots, with the ability to enjoy ourselves with unlimited boundaries without even the slightest worry about being robbed, injured or even killed while going through our daily routines. You could even have whatever physique, looks and appearance of your preference to go out into the public. Hmm... interestingly, if it were to happen, I would presume that the world would be full of Megan Fox!!! cuz why not? Megan Fox is HAWT!!!

surrogate Megan: "wouldn't you like to look like me girls?"

But then again, living in this kind of lifestyle is not as good as it may seem. Just like the movie might suggest when Bruce Willis himself had this tough relationship going on with his wife. This is because with the use of surrogates, human beings are being isolated and so there seems to be this barrier where people don't really see face to face (as in real person) anymore and that really eliminates the sense of closeness between individuals. Like for example, would you even accept the person if all that you know about this person isn't really what he actually is. Imagine looking at a surrogate who is dead handsome (like Brad Pitt?) but for all you know, he is one fat ugly dirty lil brat who's just having fun playing around with his new toy robot in the real world. Hmmm...

Finally, I'm pretty sure that I need to apologize for making this post a grandmother story and thankfully for you, its over now.

So its off for me now... sign off time = 4am :(

Songs of the Week

Here are some of the songs I'm addicted to now... It's songs of different flavour actually. There are english and korean songs with different genre and also some are old and some are new so hope you'd enjoy...

This first song is from Mat Kearney titled "Closer to Love". A very nice love song that I've only discovered from watching my cousin's wedding highlight video. Currently my favourite of favourites...

Here now is another love song but this time its from Korea. This is 8eight with "Goodbye My Love". Of course, by the title itself, you could probably have guessed its a sad love song. The video itself has some sad and touching plot to it so there you go...

Now for the heartbreaking song. This is Outsider with "Loner". A very nice song with deep lyrics and great tune. I would definitely like you to check this dude out because his rapping is sick! Just go see how fast this dude raps...

Okay now, for the more upbeat song, here's Brown Eyed Girls with "Abracadabra". Kinda found this song while looking through random people's blog and find it quite nice. Love the beats very much, and hey! There's hot chicks in it!

Finally, here's James Morrison with "You Give Me Something". A very beautiful song. It's also an old song but hey, classic is gold!!!

Joe Yeow & Belinda Wedding

I've just been through a busy weekend where I had attended my cousin Eng Joe Yeow and Belinda Chee's wedding. So first off here I would like to congratulate both of them on their marriage and I wish them a very happy journey together :)

Now, does Belinda Chee sounds familiar to you? You WILL be familiar with her if you've a regular in channel 8tv where she is the host of 8tv Quickie. Besides, she is also now acting in this Korean drama titled "Love in Seoul" with Nicholas Teo (or Zhang Dong Liang) which is now showing on 8tv 9.30pm every Sunday. (if I'm not mistaken *promoting 8tv at the same time*)

I would think that this is a match made in heaven because my cousin Joe Yeow is a very handsome, smart, successful and a very good man and on the other hand you have Belinda Chee who is... well... Belinda Chee!!!

Happy family :)

Joe Yeow's Heng Dai!!!

Toasting or "Yam Seng" session

For me, I'm really greatly and honoured to be able to witness this coming together of two perfect people. The wedding itself, which was held in KL Shangri-La, was a great occasion with a few familiar celebrities hanging around. The most notable celebrity was Serena C (one of Malaysia's best radio DJ) who was invited to be the MC that night alongside 8tv Mandarin news anchor, Owen Yap. As usual, Serena C did marvelously on keeping and getting the crowd entertained like she always do on Mix FM and not to mention she looked hawt that night as well, spotting a blonde hair with slim fitting dress.

MC of the night: Serena C and Owen Yap

Of course, what would a wedding in Shangri-La be without exquisite dishes? Well, we were treated to a fine dining dinner which I heard cost RM3000 per table. There were 95 tables to be exact so I'll leave you to do the maths.

Menu of the night

Shangri-La Hot & Cold Dish Combinations

Braised Superior Shark's Fin Soup with Bean Sprouts
(real shark's fin, yum yum)

Braised Eight Treasure Herbal Chicken

Miso Glazed Chilean Seabass Fillet with Gratinated JUMBO Prawns
o.O

Sea Cucumber with Vegetables in Prosperity Bag
(and they actually took the trouble to cut heart shaped carrots)

Steamed Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf

Chilled "Pak Lin Ho Hup" in Snow Pear
(my favorite) :D

Dessert Medley

From the top of the pile Shark's Fin Soup all the way down to the final Dessert Medley, the dishes were all great. One particular dish I find very attractive and tasty was the Chilled "Pak Lin Ho Hup" in Snow Pear. I am not gonna explain how good it is as the thought of it in itself has already made my mouth all wet and drooling! All I gotta say is I want more! :D

This is going to be another post about myself so please bear with me awhile alright? It's going to be a short one and I promise I will post on other topics (I have a lot of stuff to write but just lazy) for the next one.

Well, I am having very VERY lil sleep these few days like probably an average of 5-6 hours a day. It's not about sleeping very late and waking up early but more on sleeping earlier than usual and waking up much earlier than usual. And of course, I am getting the tired and worn out eyes now. A help with toothpick to open my eyes is probably not such a bad idea now.

I guess its just because I'm worried and a bit stressed here. The moment I wake up from slight noises or movement outside while I'm still nicely on my bed, my brain starts working like a Toyota gear set into overdrive but in this case I'm unable to turn it off. There's just so many different things I need to do, want to do and also want to achieve but it just seems like time is very short. I shall not go into details as it will make it a long post then.

My eyes can barely open now so that's it from me today...

1.24am... I just came back from a very long day which consist of me going all back and forth to Tampin, which is probably in between Melaka and Negeri Sembilan, for a basketball competition. It was pretty tiring but it felt good in a way because it was FOR basketball! I can't stop falling in love with it! However, I will be doing these kinda traveling on a Friday for the next for weeks so... looking forward to it! :D

Something worth mentioning here is that a freak accident happened to my teammate who had to be sent to the hospital. I did not really noticed how it happened, but some says he head collided straight on into someone else's elbow and the next thing I saw was him lying on the ground with blood drooling from his ears. For some reason, the lower portion of his ear flap were hanging out which prompt us to send him to the nearest hospital.

This incident also reminded me of some of the other accidents from basketball that I've witness and heard. The most recent accident happened where I get to witness a shoulder dislocation where this guys shoulder bone hanging out which looked real bad. Another incident I heard of involves an old man. During a mid-air collision, this old man fell on his head and went into a coma. He then needed surgery and was okay after that.

So these things just shows you how dangerous basketball is and hopefully I won't get these kinda injuries in my basketball lifetime.

Hope - Who Am I to Say

This is probably the emo-est song I came across my entire life. Very unfortunately, its also my song of the moment. I'm not gonna write much here and just leave you to listen to this song...
