Wheels wheels and more wheels

Okay, here are just some minor news and rumors going on around the car industry.

First of all, let's start off with Proton. After the launch of the first ever Malaysian made MPV the Exora for more than 2 months now, we still hardly see any on the roads. So the question here is, is it selling well? They are claiming that it is but where are all the giant boxes on small wheelies? Anyway, there are spyshots on the net showing a lightly disguised Exora doing testing on the roads in Penang.

As the photo suggests, it might be a base-line (downgraded and cheaper) Exora on test. It is thought that this will be the vehicle to counter the cheaper (and probably better as that's what people will be expecting) Perodua's new MPV which will be launched sometime in November.

Sticking again with Proton. As you might not notice, the relationship between Proton and Mitsubishi has been along for many years. They have been long time partners with most of Proton's earlier models namely, the Wira, is based on Mitsu's. Even as Proton independently produces their own cars, our countrymens would modify it to look like a Mitsu. Yes, I'm talking about the Waja-turned-Lancer Evolution (or what they call it a Waja-lution) out there which is an eyesore.

To make matters worst, there are people who even turned their Evo into a Waja like the pictures shown above by sticking the Proton logo on the front and back of the car and then naming it a Waja 2? I mean like why would you want to turn your Mitsu into a Proton? Does Proton sound very upscale to you?

Lucky for us, there has been news long ago that the new Waja replacement will be based on the new Mitsubishi Lancer on the road. So recently, someone spotted a strange looking Lancer (picture above) on the roads which has a black front bumper and a grey back bumper. You could also see that there are some black tapes around the car which is usually to disguised lil bits and pieces of the car. Also, the car plates looks like the ones used on test cars. So could this possibly be Proton's Waja replacement on test? or shall we say, the REAL Waja-lution has arrived?

Next up is something you wouldn't want to miss. It's gonna be one hot cake hitting our Malaysian shores and it isn't from anywhere familiar. Japan? No. Germany? No. It's a Korean brand and its name is Kia. Kia has been on the rise lately and their latest car designs are as sleek as ever. So now, I would like to introduce to you the Kia Forte.

It's one of the simplest and sleekest design combined with sportiness you'll see on a car. It's just breathtaking to see. The picture above is the 2-door Kia Forte Koup and it will be introduced into our local shores along with sedan version very soon. So people, be on the look out cuz you would't want to miss this one hell of a hot car! (and mind you, I just got very nervous staring at the car) XD

Speaking of hot, I've been going throught the web searching for pictures of Satria Neo's and something really caught my attention. Take a look at the pciture below...

Notice anything different about this Satria Neo besides the R3 bodykit? Take a closer look at the paint of this car, its no regular paint, its a matte black paint which I think looks really awesome. One of my pals tells me this paint makes the car look like a junk, sort of like unpainted cars but I totally disagree on that. I think it makes the car look so much more unique, sporty and aggressive so for me, its absouloutly Farn-Tar-Stic. Somehow reminds me of Batman in his modern suit as well. Lolz.

Still unconvinced? Take a look at the C-Class Brabus Bullit Black Arrow below which is also painted in matte black. Definitely a head-turner on the roads...

Sad news is, I won't be able to afford any of the cars above until probably 5-10 years minimum? So for now I'm still looking anxiously to get myself something which could very much be a possibility if everything goes well. Enter the Satria Neo CPS...

That's all for now, OUT

Michael Jackson is dead!!!

This is an absolute shocker of a breaking news...

Michael Jackson declared dead!!! I wasn't sleeping the whole night and suddenly I just saw this breaking news.

The following is news from rollingstone.com...

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that law enforcement and city officials have confirmed that Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, died today after suffering what has been reported as cardiac arrest. Jackson was 50. According to reports, Jackson was not breathing when paramedics were called to his Los Angeles home this afternoon, June 25th. Paramedics at the scene performed CPR on the singer, who was then transported to the UCLA Medical Center. Jackson arrived at the hospital in a deep coma; attempts to resuscitate him failed as he was completely unresponsive.

For more on this story, you can visit here as well...

Although I wasn't a huge fan of Michael Jackson, however, his musics where some of the first fews that I grew up listening to and I felt deeply shocked and saddened by news of his death as it just happened so suddenly. I also just told me mom as well before she went out and she just couldn't accept this fact and kept asking me if its really true.

Michael Jackson was the greatest dancer, one of the great entertainers and a truly great singer. Without him, there wouldn't be silky dance moves to be seen around, without him, we wouldn't be listening to all the good songs on the radio, and without him, music wouldn't even be a part of me. In other words, he is beyond legendary, an international icon like no other and a revolution in the music industry. So let us all remember him for that and may his legacy live on forever.

Thank You Michael Jackson

LA Lakers: 2009 NBA Champions!

Pau Gasol, Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom

The Los Angeles Lakers are the new NBA Champions, beating off a resilient Orlando Magic team by 4-1 in a best of 7 series. This would also be the 15th NBA championship in the Lakers franchise history. (2 behind the team of the most championship won, the Boston Celtics at 17)

Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant

This would also be Laker's head coach Phil Jackson's 10th NBA championship which also makes him the head coach with the most championship in NBA record books. Such is the dominance of Phil Jackson in the NBA coaching landscape which now nears two decades, spanning the Michael Jordan-Shaquille O'neal-Kobe Bryant era.

Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher

As for Kobe Bryant, currently the best basketball player in the world (or all-time as some might argue), this was his 4th NBA championship ring and also winning the NBA Finals MVP award for his amazing all around effort. But most importantly, this was the first championship since Shaquille O'neal left the Lakers and during that point of time, many have asked the question as to whether Kobe could make it big without Shaq. And after failing in his last 2 attempts, one in 2004 to the Detroit Pistons and last year to the Boston Celtics, Kobe came back strongly again and not just by showing great determination but also great hunger to win the championship. And finally, the answer is there for all to see.

LET US ALL SALUTE THE BLACK MAMBA AKA KOBE BRYANT!!!

Once When I Was Little

There hasn't been anything going on recently and I'm just wondering what to post just to keep my blog updated. So out of the blue moon, at the back of my head was the thought of me doing lots of drawings once when I was little. Back then, I loved to read mangas especially Dragon Ball and Slam Dunk which I still have it now with me and from there, I kinda remember how was it drawn so during my free time, I would just draw it on any piece of paper available. Sometimes even during school classes, I would just draw a anything on my text books, notes or any paper I can find and it has become one of my habits since.

Besides that, I also do usually take most of my study time at home to do drawings. I'll usually take a piece of paper to copy and draw some of the image of my liking. Fortunately, I still kept some of them and I'll just post a few of them here.

Rukawa and Sakuragi of Slam Dunk

This was one of my hardest drawings which was drawn during my secondary years and as (if) you can see from the bottom right of the drawing, I scored 8.9 out of 10 marks.

Frieza? Kurara? or something something from Dragon Ball

Trunks, Goten and Gohan from Dragon Ball

Well, I started off drawing lots of Dragon Ball-s but as my interest evolves, I started drawing lots of Slam Dunk-s...

Rukawa Kaede

The number 1 guard Ryota Miyagi

One of my favourites, Sakuragi Hanamichi after making the winning shoot against Sannoh High

LA Laker's Kobe Bryant

...And soon after, I started drawing real life people which as you can see from the picture above, its Kobe Bryant! Funnily, it was his shoes that I was so obsessed with that made me draw him. Some other stuff which I have also drawn before would be Power Rangers, Ultraman, Rockman, Gundams, Kobe's shoe (lol), and also creatively tried to draw my own comic which looked stupid.

So as of now, my old habit is still around which is evident from some of my college notes and books. But, I haven't been drawing manga since secondary and mostly now I draw cars and random peoples. On another note, I was wondering what if...? what if my drawing talents where discovered earlier and I took a different life route? I might be becoming an artis or architect now?

hmm...

So here comes the next one, next in line
Stay as young you can, for the longest time
'Cause those days flew by
Like a breeze just passing through
Once when I was little

Just waiting for it to happen

I've just finished the latest season of How I Met Your Mother which is season 4 and it seems there is three more to go. This comedic series is about a guy named Ted who tells the story of how he met his kids' mom. He has his best pals beside him all the time namely Marshall and Lily who are married, the sweet Robin as well as Bar... wait for it... ney. lolz. I would definitely recommend all of you out there to watch it as it is hilarious and fun to watch. Not even a tad boring I would say.

Okay, so Ted was suppose to get married to a girl named Stella in the earlier season until she dumped him to get back with her ex-husband. So in this episode, after 7 months, Ted bumped into Stella again and things got a lil bit complicated. But it all ended well as Ted and Stella finally cleared up the whole issue.

This video is just a short clip which I've cut out from the episode. It shows how Ted expressed his personal feelings which he has never done before and it was perfect. In other words, it might be hard being single when everyone around you have moved on in life, but just relax, just take life as it brings you and things will work out eventually. And of course, if you're still single and waiting for the right person to come along, don't sweat, he/she is on their way and their getting here as fast as they can.

"You can't design your life like a building, it doesn't work that way. You just have to live it and it'll design itself. Listen to what the world is telling you to do and take the leap."

Linkin Park - New Divide

You'll probably find the beginning of the song very familiar. And yes, you've heard it from the new Transformer movie's trailer if you've seen it.

This is Linkin Park's latest song and it will be the theme song and lead single from the upcoming movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which is due to hit cinemas on the 24th of June 2009.

Linkin Park is one of my favorites but I don't really "feel" this song and I still think their older songs are much much better. Then again, time has changed and the music industry is evolving so credits to Linkin Park for moving forward and trying something new as well.
