Wheels wheels and more wheels

Okay, here are just some minor news and rumors going on around the car industry.

First of all, let's start off with Proton. After the launch of the first ever Malaysian made MPV the Exora for more than 2 months now, we still hardly see any on the roads. So the question here is, is it selling well? They are claiming that it is but where are all the giant boxes on small wheelies? Anyway, there are spyshots on the net showing a lightly disguised Exora doing testing on the roads in Penang.

As the photo suggests, it might be a base-line (downgraded and cheaper) Exora on test. It is thought that this will be the vehicle to counter the cheaper (and probably better as that's what people will be expecting) Perodua's new MPV which will be launched sometime in November.

Sticking again with Proton. As you might not notice, the relationship between Proton and Mitsubishi has been along for many years. They have been long time partners with most of Proton's earlier models namely, the Wira, is based on Mitsu's. Even as Proton independently produces their own cars, our countrymens would modify it to look like a Mitsu. Yes, I'm talking about the Waja-turned-Lancer Evolution (or what they call it a Waja-lution) out there which is an eyesore.

To make matters worst, there are people who even turned their Evo into a Waja like the pictures shown above by sticking the Proton logo on the front and back of the car and then naming it a Waja 2? I mean like why would you want to turn your Mitsu into a Proton? Does Proton sound very upscale to you?

Lucky for us, there has been news long ago that the new Waja replacement will be based on the new Mitsubishi Lancer on the road. So recently, someone spotted a strange looking Lancer (picture above) on the roads which has a black front bumper and a grey back bumper. You could also see that there are some black tapes around the car which is usually to disguised lil bits and pieces of the car. Also, the car plates looks like the ones used on test cars. So could this possibly be Proton's Waja replacement on test? or shall we say, the REAL Waja-lution has arrived?

Next up is something you wouldn't want to miss. It's gonna be one hot cake hitting our Malaysian shores and it isn't from anywhere familiar. Japan? No. Germany? No. It's a Korean brand and its name is Kia. Kia has been on the rise lately and their latest car designs are as sleek as ever. So now, I would like to introduce to you the Kia Forte.

It's one of the simplest and sleekest design combined with sportiness you'll see on a car. It's just breathtaking to see. The picture above is the 2-door Kia Forte Koup and it will be introduced into our local shores along with sedan version very soon. So people, be on the look out cuz you would't want to miss this one hell of a hot car! (and mind you, I just got very nervous staring at the car) XD

Speaking of hot, I've been going throught the web searching for pictures of Satria Neo's and something really caught my attention. Take a look at the pciture below...

Notice anything different about this Satria Neo besides the R3 bodykit? Take a closer look at the paint of this car, its no regular paint, its a matte black paint which I think looks really awesome. One of my pals tells me this paint makes the car look like a junk, sort of like unpainted cars but I totally disagree on that. I think it makes the car look so much more unique, sporty and aggressive so for me, its absouloutly Farn-Tar-Stic. Somehow reminds me of Batman in his modern suit as well. Lolz.

Still unconvinced? Take a look at the C-Class Brabus Bullit Black Arrow below which is also painted in matte black. Definitely a head-turner on the roads...

Sad news is, I won't be able to afford any of the cars above until probably 5-10 years minimum? So for now I'm still looking anxiously to get myself something which could very much be a possibility if everything goes well. Enter the Satria Neo CPS...

That's all for now, OUT
