Not quite a Monk yet

Just yesterday, somehow I couldn't stand looking at my hair which is getting kinda long so decided to shave it off and shave it I did. I don't really care if I look good or bad now, the main thing now is I don't have to spend time on my hair anymore which is a good thing considering I'm in a very period busy part of my final semester. With the economy crisis now, it would be a good time to save a cent or two on shampoos as well. lolz...

Neways, this is a ketchy music from Jessy McCartney...

...How do you...
...How do you...
...How do you sleep...

Champions League football is back!!!

Okay, for all the football crazy freaks out there, Champions League football, the most prestigious club football competition is finally back and the last 16 knock out stages will be kicking off with some mouth watering ties!!!

Italian champions versus English champions

First of all, Italian giants and 3 consecutive Serie A winners Inter Milan who are under former Champions League winning manager Jose Mourinho go up against English and Champions League's holders Manchester United!!! Both are in great form and are currently leading in their domestic leagues as well. The important note here is that Jose Mourinho has only lost once in his 10 encounter in all competition with Sir Alex Ferguson during his stint with Porto and Chelsea.

Will the Red's Spaniard down the Spanish giants?

The next giant encouter will be 4 times winner Liverpool pitting their vits against 9 time Champions League winners and Spanish champions Real Madrid. Fernando Torres with a prolific scoring record has never scored against Real Madrid in the 5 years spell he had in Spain with Atletico Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, so will he finally end his barren goal drough this time around? or will Raul and top form Real Madrid throw Liverpool out of the Champions League?

Frank Lampard or Alesandro Del Piero?

One tie also not to be missed would be Chelsea who are desperate to win their first ever Champions League trophy after just losing narrowly in penalties to Manchester United in May's all english finals clash going up against a Juventus side who are finally back in the frame after missing out for two seasons. This tie would also mark the return of former Chelsea boss Claudio Raneiri who might want to get one over his former employees since his dismisal 5 years ago. He will be leading a Juve side full of experienced veterans namely Alesandro Del Piero who has been sensational in the group stages.

French champions will need to contain the the Barca bombardment

Also, don't forget the tie between 7 straight years French champions Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon) and Spanish league leaders Barcelona who are currently dominating in all domestic competitions. Can favourites Barcelona break the hearts of the french or will Champions league underachievers Lyon finally break the duck and advance to the quarterfinal stages?

owwhhh... wait... have I forgotten to mention wonderkid Lionel Messi?

Other ties are:

Atletico Madrid vs Porto
Arsenal vs Roma
Villareal vs Panathinaikos
Sporting Lisbon vs Bayern Munich

So, the 4 matches was played yesterday and the biggest was Inter VS ManU. Fortunately I had time to watch the game with my assignment to be passed up in the afternoon :D and since ManU have been doing so well in their domestic league, I do hope they crash out of the Champions League >)

There will also be matches played to night and the big one would definitely be Chelsea VS Juventus. The game will be played at 4.00am Malaysian time and for those who have a good internet connection BUT does not have a television, you can head to Justin.tv to watch the match live.

That's all for now, have a great sporting day peeps!!!

Are you going to finish strong?

Here are some inspiration from the man without any limbs but a heart and soul of a huge mountain, Nick Vujicic.

Sight pollution

Okay, just remembered something. Last Friday I went to Low Yet to check out some stuff which I had to drive my way there. While on the way back, I got the chance to see something which is kinda hilarious to talk about and quite disgusting at the same time.

In driving back from KL to Kajang, I managed to spot not only one, but two drivers enjoyingly digging their noses like no other peoples business. Its just disgusting to see people digging their nose in the public. Oh ya, I also noticed one driver threw his diggings out of the window. Pretty disgusting =.=

So the point to be learn here is, PLEASE do not dig your nose in the public. If you really need to, please at least find somewhere else where nobody can see you. Do not even think for a second that nobody is watching over you!!!

Michael Jordan Nike Commercial

Here are some inspiring words from the legend himself, Michael Jordan.

"Failure gave me strength, that pain was my motivation"

Verdict on Satria Neo CPS

The Satria Neo CPS is the successor to Proton's popular and iconic Satria 1.8 GTi. Within the car is the new 1.6 litre CAMPRO CPS engine which incorporates two technologies, CPS (Cam Profile Shifting) and VIM (Variable Intake Manifold technology) to give higher power outputs and rapid response whilst maintaining fuel efficiency. This has also improved the torque curve particularly low to mid range where the old CAMPRO had a major issue. The output of the CAMPRO CPS is at 120hp@6500rpm and 150Nm@4500rpm.

In a move to improve handling, the Satria Neo CPS now features a wider rear track (1483mm) and a narrower front track (1467mm) compared to the 1470mm front and rear track of the outgoing model. According to sources, this was done to improve handling by increasing understeer and reducing oversteer - something that the outgoing model often evoked. The car ride and handling has also been fine tuned by Lotus which makes it one of the best handling car in the market. Many has agreed upon testing of the car.

The car's exterior design is inspired by the iconic Satria GTi but at first impression, the car never really looked as good as its predecessors. However as much as you look at it, it is still better to see the actual car itself before judging its outlook. On the interior, the Satria Neo CPS features the same old dash but upholstery is enhanced with a sporty red and black leather and door inserts. The interior finishing is further enhanced by a new leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob.

The car has disk brakes all around with ABS and EBD making sure that the car is under control at all times. Finally, the CPS engine is only available for the H-line model which features the body kit you see above and the regular Lite and M-line models retain the regular but older Campro engine.

The Satrio Neo CPS comes in two exclusive colours; solid white and tranquility black and retails RM57,313 for the solid white manual and RM57,763 for the tranquility black. The automatics are priced at RM60,313 for solid white and RM60,763 for tranquility black.

Heads to heads: Satria Neo, Satria Neo R3, Satria Neo CPS

Personally, I was really looking forward to the Neo with CPS in it but I was a bit disappointed when I first saw the car as it was not as aggressive and sporty as the Satria Neo R3 but as time passes the car has started growing in me. Besides that, the drivability of the car will be one of the main selling point and I have to say that I'm impressed by the reviews and admirations of the car's handling prowness. However, one issue that really bugs me is the price tag of the car. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the new Satria Neo CPS really deserve its pricing? What is the cost per unit for this car? As I found out, the price difference between a standard Neo and the Neo CPS is about RM10,000 which is a very VERY huge difference. I don't think the addition of the CPS engine, leather seats and new bodykits really cost that much as well.

The tax impose on foreign cars is more than 200% in Malaysia which is a move to protect Proton from intense competition. Quite rightly, competing with the likes of Honda and Toyota on a even playing field will surely kill Proton as it is nowhere near the technological advancement of the Japanese giants. Then again, looking at the RM60k price tag, I still think its pretty high for what Proton has to offer. Mathemathically, if there were no taxes involved in foreign imported cars then the likes of Honda City or Toyota Vios will most probably drop into the same price range or even below the Neo CPS. When this happens, we can see that hands down, the City and Vios offers overall superior value compared to the Neo CPS which is why I feel that the Neo CPS is overly priced.

The government will be the one to be blamed for imposing such taxes as it kills the competitiveness and growth of the industry. But still, if no taxes where imposed and Proton falls, what will happen to the economy in the country? And what happens next? Unemployment rate will sky rocket as thousands of worker will be relieved of their jobs.

One last thing to mention is about the strategy used by Proton in introducing the Neo CPS. As you know, the CPS engine will only be available to the overly priced H-line of the Satria Neo variant. It seems like Proton is positioning the Neo CPS as a performance hot hatch while ditching the cheap and affordable image of the older versions. This is a good step from Proton to improve brand image but one thing I do not understand is why did they not do anything about the lower or standard and cheaper versions of the Satria Neo. As mentioned above, the older CAMPRO engine used in Satria Neo has major issues regarding its torque and also resulted in higher fuel consumption which is the reasons why most consumers are really looking forward to the newly improved CAMPRO CPS engine. However, Proton only launched the CPS engine in the H-line version and left the M-line and lite version untouched. If I assume that Proton wants to reposition the Satria Neo CPS as a quality and performance hot hatch, then why didn't they kill off the lower versions of the Satria Neo which utilizes the uninspiring old CAMPRO engine? Is Proton trying to clear their old stocks or just taking advantage of their market protected by the government by offering consumers a "you only can afford this so you don't have any other choice" product?

From my research and knowledge, I can assume that most people are only interested in the new CAMPRO CPS engine but Proton only offers it in the highly priced H-line version which is something that restricts those with a limited budget to get a Satria Neo with CPS engine. Now, Proton is plying its trade in a very competitive industry so shoudn't its strategy be a market driven one? How did Proton not see what the consumer wanted? Instead of offering the CPS only to the H-line version, Proton should have standardized it throughout the Satria Neo variants and then allow the consumers to choose from the variants. Thus, all consumers will be satisfied. I will say that it was a overly lazy job from the marketing research department of Proton.

Finally, nor am I a basher and neither am I a huge fan of Proton but this are just my 2 cents so no hard feelings alright. However I do need to mention that Proton cars has been improving steadily over the years and sometimes we do need to give them a chance. Hence, they deserve to be judge on its own, and not solely by its brand name.

New Proton Satria Neo CPS H-Line

Here is the new Proton Satria Neo CPS which will be replacing the H-Line model of the standard Satria Neo. There are exterior as well as interior changes to the car. Not to forget, under the hood will be the new Campro CPS (Cam Profile Switching) engine or lets make it simple, it is the VVTi of Proton. It is only available in Black and White color. Prices will be around RM60K.

Not gonna comment much on the car. For more details go to:

I'm just really shocked with the pricing of the car, a Proton car...

Don't forget the O

It's already 2am here and I will be having 8am class tomorrow but somehow I'm still awake. So I have got nothing to do and decided to "gOOgle" my own name. haha. I just typed in my full name including Alex at the front and guess what I found, NOTHING!!! Yeapz, nothing interesting to be found. All I got from the search result was YONG, YONG, YONG and more YONG.

Now I'd like to take the opportunity to clearify sometihng. Just to make things clear, my name is YOONG WEI, not YONG WEI. The double O is there for reasons that I don't really know yet but same goes for the pronounciation. Its pronounced as "yeung" not "yong". Example, you don't pronounce "cartoon" as "CAR TON" but "car tune". So do keep that in mind. and umm... Try taking an O out of Google and what do you get? Go gle??? What about Winnie the POH? or taking an O out of the word "Boobs" and what do you get? Bobs???

Neways, its a boring night which prompted me to do some useless stuff. I'm off to bed now...

Satria Neo CPS launch day

If you're a Proton follower then you might know that Proton has two models ready to be launched in the next month or so. The models include the new Proton MPV as well as the facelifted Satria Neo fitted with CPS with the latter being the main focus here.

Now, I have read a comment posted by Pirlo on Paultan's forum which noted that the long awaited Satria Neo CPS will be launched this Friday (13.2.09). Don't know how far it is true but we'll just have to wait and see. However, the car is already open for booking in all Proton Edar showrooms and the waiting list is already about 2-3 months long so if you're wanting to get one, you better hurry up now. Here is a spyshot of the Neo CPS taken by The_King 4 months ago.

Lightly disguised Satria Neo CPS

Okay, I just managed to get another shot of the Neo CPS and this time I think it will be the final production's front bumper.

Looks good to me. Can't wait for the car to be revealed.

Phil Scolari Sacked!!!

Just got a breaking news that Luiz Felipe Scolari, the now ex-Chelsea boss has been sacked. After the team's poor recent form and fading title ambitions, it was only a matter of time before Scolari faces the axe so this comes as to no surprise.

A statement released on Monday afternoon London time in Chelsea's official website said: "Luiz Felipe Scolari has been dismissed as manager of Chelsea with immediate effect."

The former world cup winning manager has looked lost in his management of the club and there are also reports that the players are not happy with his coaching routines which has also translated to the poor showing of his players on the field.

Scolari brought attacking football to Chelsea, however, there was no solidity and consistency within the team. The team never looked confidence and the winning mentality that was once instilled in Chelsea are now gone. The worst memories of Scolari's time in charge was the fact that Chelsea's home form was very poor and also not to forget he lost our very proud 86-game unbeaten home league record. Besides, Chelsea did not manage a win against the big-four this season and only managed to get 1 point out of the 5 matches played so far. Finally, he also bought in Deco which was one of the worst signings ever.

Here are some fact files of Scolari's time at Chelsea...

2008: August 17: Led Chelsea to a 4-0 win over Portsmouth in his firs
t Premier League game in charge.

October 26: Suffered his first league defeat as Chelsea as Liverpool ended their 86-game unbeaten home league record with a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

November 12: Chelsea crashed out of the Carling Cup beaten on penalties by Championship side Burnley.

December 9: Chelsea only secured qualification for the Champions League knockout stages in the final game after beating CFR Cluj 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

2009: January 3: Could only manage a 1-1 draw with League One Southend in the FA Cup third round.

January 11: Crushed 3-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford with Scolari's Chelsea future increasingly under the spotlight.

February 1: Saw his hopes of the title dented with a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool as Fernando Torres scored two late goals.

February 7: Fans protested against Scolari after the 0-0 home draw with Hull which saw Chelsea drop to fourth in the Premier League table behind Aston Villa.

February 9: Chelsea confirm Scolari has been dismissed.

Now who's next for Chelsea? The "special one" maybe?

I was "touched"

Nothing much in this post really. I'm feeling REALLY bored here and I have nothing to do besides assignments.

A very tiring and fun day actually. Did lion dance in college and also had the chance to play the "butt" of the lion which is something you would not want to become. Now my back is aching because the requirement was to ALWAYS bend your back and the worst part is where you are practically unable to do anything about the pain when you are in the middle of the performance. YOU CAN'T FREAKIN' STAND UP!!! So it was really tiring and mentally draining while doing the performance but then there is another thing. While doing the "butt" of the lion, I had people touching and hitting my *ss from behind. Yeapz, no kidding, I WAS MOLESTED!!! The bad thing about this is that it wasn't any "leng lui" but AUNTIES who did that!!! Damn, horny old ladies. Neway, in total we collected 900 ringgit worth of Ang Pau from the entire college. Too bad, we can only get a small sum of the money to celebrate and the rest will go to the club's account.

After lion dance, I went for basketball which I couldn't resist because I had not been playing for about 2 weeks already.

Finally, I don't know what is wrong with me left feet and I can't seem to walk properly. I almost sprained my left ankle 4 times in the last 20 minutes of walking. Sounds weird right? It's like I've been cursed or something, so I won't be doing anything involving my legs for the rest of the day and hopefully I will be able to walk properly again tomorrow.

Big Bang - Haru Haru (Day by Day)

Okay, another one of the songs I'm addicted to. Nice beats with deep meaning to it... The whole video is about this girl who only has a few months left and decides to break up with her boyfriend so that he won't suffer with her.

this is a different video created by Imaplestory... cartoonish but easy to understand... very touching...

Yuna Ito - Trust You

This is the new ending song for the anime Gundam 00 season two. A very nice song with awesome lyrics. Full song will be released on March 2009.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen (Teaser Trailer )

Here is a new trailer of the sequel to the one of the best movies of 2007. The movie will be release in June 2009. Can't wait to see Shia Lebeouf and the hot Megan Fox in action again =)

Musics I Like

Here are some of the best latest musics I found... Okay, its not all particularly new but ITS NICE...

Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008

James Morrison & Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings

Let me hold you
For the last time
It's the last chance to feel again
But you broke me
Now I can't feel anything

When I love you,
It's so untrue
I can't even convince myself
When I'm speaking,
It's the voice of someone else

Oh it tears me up
I try to hold on, but it hurts too much
I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay

You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I can't tell you something that ain't real

Oh the truth hurts
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

Oh what are we doing
We are turning into dust
Playing house in the ruins of us

Running back through the fire
When there's nothing left to save
It's like chasing the very last train when it's too late

Oh it tears me up
I try to hold on, but it hurts too much
I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay

You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I can't tell something that ain't real

Well the truth hurts,
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

But we're running through the fire
When there's nothing left to save
It's like chasing the very last train
When we both know it's too late (too late)

You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I cant tell you something that ain't real

Well truth hurts,
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

Let me hold you for the last time
It's the last chance to feel again

Some other notable songs are Britney Spears' Circus which I'm really addicted to now, Leona Lewis' Run, Pink's Sober, The Saturdays' Issues, Rihanna's Rehab, Alesha Dixon's Breathe Slow and also Lady GaGa's hot singles Just Dance and Poker Face. I will try to get the videos to post it up soon enough. In the meantime, do enjoy these songs.
