Don't do last minute shopping!!!

Fuuuhhh... Its been a very long and tiring day...

The day started with last minute house cleaning for Chinese New Year which is only 24 hours away. After that I followed my mom to plug my face "bulu". Yea, there are lil hairs growing on my face which I always shave but visible which is why I decided to get rid of it. I did plug my eyebrows as well and I feel a bit wierd looking at myself now. I thought I looked feminine now but others said there wasn't any difference so oh well... I'll leave the judgement to you if you ever get to see me.

Almost half a day gone by then, time to go KL. Now, don't get me wrong, this isn't last minute shopping but more like getting some things done there. There were some problems in the shirts that my dad bought so we went to KL to change it. Unfortunately, me and my mom got caught up in other people's last minute shopping. KL was jam everywhere!!! First we went to Sogo, had my favourite Chicken Cordon Bleu there, delicious!!! then we went to Sg. Wang which I managed to get a new pair of sneakers for myself. Since Times Square is just opposite, we went there to get some stuff. Unfortunately, the shops where already closed.

Its almot 10pm, time to get home. Here is the best part of the day. We were caught up in a terrible jam and everyone was trying to get out of Sg. Wang parking at the same time. Seriously, the car only managed to only move about 5 meters after half an hour and we were in basement 3 and the exit was at basement 1. This is where I started to be impatient like everybody else so I had to maneuver, zig zag around and constantly looking for different roads that can get me out quicker. Its like a rat trying to find and dig a hole out for himself. So it was pretty fun actually, cutting here and there, finding different routes and anticipating on opportunities to get ahead. I'm not saying I'm cutting cue or anything but more like finding shorter paths. Its sort of like competing and trying to out do others. Amazingly, Sg. Wang parking had lots of different different roads so I intelligently found shorter routes and managed my way out of there much much quicker then everybody else. Luckily, I was driving a SLK aka Small Little Kelisa which allowed my to go through tight areas. If I were to drive any bigger car then that, I think I wont even be back here until 12.

Outside was jam as well but fortunately I followed some cars and knew some different roads which allowed my to get back much much quicker. When I think about it now, luckily my dad wasn't around or I will get a lot of nagging in the car for my aggresive driving. Okay, know you will be thinking my driving is dangerous but I can assure you that I did it in a very safe and controlled manner.

Finally, the lesson of the day is, always leave Sg. Wang before 10pm if you're parking there or you're better off getting yourself back into the mall again for another hour until the jam clears.

Manchester United 3 - 0 Chelsea

Rooney scoring United's second goal

Just finished watching the match between Manchester United and Chelsea where the red devils came out tops by not only 1 or 2, but 3 goals margin. I would say this is a very disappointing display from Chelsea losing out to their closest rivals in the manner which they did. The opening half was pretty even but then the second half was a terrible display which saw Manchester United dominate the game. After going a goal down just before half time, the squad had no urgency, no passion, no fighting spirit and were outplayed by Man U. If thats not worst enough, next on the list will be table topping Liverpool at Anfield and I could only hope Chelsea raise their game.

Can Chelsea stop Liverpool and the dynamic duo of Torres and Gerrard?

Here is my take on the current squad and situation. First of all, the big problem lies with Phil Scolari, the current manager of Chelsea and the way he managers the team. His tactics are somewhat ineffective on the pitch which shows why Chelsea are doing poorly now. Secondly, his squad selection is also one to be criticized as he keeps playing the lackluster Deco. In fact, the season that began promisingly could turn into a disappointing one. With the form and the way the team is playing currently, I don't see any trophies being won come end of the season.

Luiz Felipe Scolari needs to rally the troops now

I think now is a great time for reinforcement in the squad as the January transfer window opens. Because of the aging squad, Chelsea needs young, fresh, hungry lads to push the team. A few winger and midfielder would do the trick. Besides, Chelsea needs to work harder on the pitch and not be a bunch of prima donnas playing beautiful football whereas they can't even get the results. Where is the winning mentality lads? where is the passion? Run! Get down, get rough!!! Work your socks off!!! damn!!! I just can't stand watching how Chelsea are playing now.

Will the season end in disappointment and tears again?

Finally, I hope the squad will improve or else please put the axe on Phil Scolari. May the "special one" please stand up? I sure hope Jose Mourinho will return to manage the club again someday and bring Chelsea back to its glory days.

Before I go...

Its finally here, I'm going back to college and my last and final semester starts here. I certainly have mix feelings about it now, but I don't really know if I'm either sad or happy. My holiday was 3 weeks and it really just flew by in a blink of an eye. Well, I really did not expect it to be that way as I predicted a boring holiday but hanging out with friends and having fun all the while seems to have made my holiday. Taking this opportunity, I want to thank Liz for buying me some birthday present all the way from UK. She bought a few liquor chocs for me and also a Jean Paul Gaultier perfume which is some pretty expensive stuff. I really really appreciate it and I want to thank you with all my heart. Thanks a lot Liz!!! But next time don't need spent so much okay? But in truth, it really made me feel that there was something in my 20th birthday. Again, thanks a lot Liz.

A fun filled holiday I would say and this is the first time I felt so reluctant (or berat hati) to start the new semester. Anyway, I just wish everyone who is back to studies all the best in their new semesters, all the best to those who are working and also all the best to those who are doing whatever they are doing.

The Spirit

It's just two days before my college starts and I will need to be back in Nilai again. Before leaving, I would just like to hang out with my friends and enjoy the remainders of my holiday so I went out to the movies with them. The day was bright and shiny until this movie came up and covered our day with gloom and despair. I'm not overreacting or what so ever but this movie is really that bad. Seriously, overall it can be compared to our local movie "Cicak Man" which I think is an embarrassment. I cannot believe they even came out with "Cicak Man 2". I mean like who WATCHES these films anyway, the film is a JOKE.

Anyways, back to "The Spirit", before watching the movie, I though it would be nice with all the advertisements going on so I felt maybe it was OKAY to watch after being adviced that it was a boring movie. This movie is about a guy who came back to life, becomes the Spirit and protects his city against villians. Lets make it short, this movie does not have a heart and soul. You do not really feel the characters in the movie and the worst part is when "The Spirit" himself keeps talking and whining about himself. It kind of reminds me of the later part in Mr. Beans Holiday where one guy premiers his movie and keeps replaying and rewinding it. You'll get what I mean if you've seen that. Back to the movie again, I found The Spirit himself being someone who needs "help" because he seems a lil off with his character and also very obsessive with his city, calling it his "mom", his "lover", and other stuffs. It was not a great movie for Samuel L. Jackson as well playing the "Octopus", however, there is still a lil bit of light to be shed on this movie with some hot chicks like Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson doing a decend job and also a few laughters here and there makes this movie somewhat okay in the end.

Overall, this is a terrible movie and I will not advice anyone to either watch it, buy it or even download it other then if you need a helping hand to get yourself to bed. I would certainly categorize it as one of the worst movie of the year.

Goodbye 2008 - Hello 2009

Its the first day of 2009 and it could not have started any worst then what happened just awhile ago while I was on the way back after celebrating new years day with my friends. I'll explain it later but for now let's have to look at the year that was 2008.

My 2008 was best remembered as the year where I learned and experienced lots of new stuffs. It was also a roller coaster year for me with lots of ups and downs but I guess thats what makes life so interesting. Now, some of the things I learned would be solving a Rubik's Cube, making jellies, dance a lil bit of Salsa, and also how to play the lion dance (will not go into details). On the other hand, there were great memories that is still fresh in my mind after having a look back at some of the photos that were taken. One of the best would be watching Chelsea LIVE in a football match. I could categorize it as one of the best moments in my life as well. Some other better experiences would be participating in a runway modeling in college where I fluke-ingly got 2nd runners-up, getting 2nd runners-up (again) in the college basketball competition and performing in a promo for Jay Chou's movie (although the crowd was terrible). Worst experience? hmm... Its a tough one but I'll have to go for the one where my house was broken in on the eve of chinese new year and my room was ransacked by the IDIOTS. Luckily for me, my big ang pau's and valueble stuff wasn't taken. I guess the thieves are just plain dumb and stupid. Furthermore, it was also the most stressful year I ever had where personal problems and study workload pushed me to the edge. Anyways, these are all memories of 2008 but I'm actually looking forward to 2009.

Speaking of which, 2009 for me went off to a horrible start. I almost had an accident while driving back home in the early hours of 2009 (just an hour ago, time now is 4.20 AM). This car opposite of me was actually driving across my lane and almost knocked me heads-on. I was really lucky to actually noticed right at the very last moment and managed to avoid it or else god knows where I would be by now. The only damage taken was the driver's side mirrors which amazingly only had its mirrors broken. No scraches and cave-ins were found.

As for the year of 2009 itself, my prediction will be that this year would be a great year of changes for me. First off, I'm (most probably, if nothing unusual happens) gonna graduate middle of this year and would be heading to the corporate world. This would probably mean no more late nights and no more lazying around for me anymore. Besides, I'm also very VERY determined to build myself up physically and mentally as well. Not to forget, I will need to look more mature and neat now so no more overgrowned hair and no more teenager-like fashions. Lastly, I would also be hoping that if I could get a good job and salary, I could sponsor for my very own car as I would really like the freedom to roam around without having to get permission from my parents.

Finally, I'll wish everyone a lovely, peaceful and joyful year of 2009 and have the most memorable, wonderful and beutiful year yet.
